New personalized app provides PayPal customers with a single destination to easily and securely manage their daily digital payments
Today, PayPal announced the new PayPal app, that offers customers more streamlined ways to manage their daily digital payments. The new PayPal app is an intelligent digital wallet powered by PayPal’s advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning to create a unique wallet experience that is enhanced for each customer.
Additionally, the new app offers PayPal customers a single place to send and receive money to friends, family and businesses, pay with QR codes for purchases, access and manage Buy Now, Pay Later services, as well as support causes and charities they care about.
The new app includes a dashboard of a customer’s PayPal account, a wallet tab to manage payment instruments, and a payments hub that includes send and receive money features, international remittances and charitable or non-profit giving.

The new PayPal app is an intelligent digital wallet powered by PayPal’s artificial intelligence and machine learning to create a wallet experience that is enhanced for each customer, including:
- Dashboard: The new PayPal app dashboard is a user-friendly view of a customer’s PayPal account and the features they already use today, while also enabling discoverability of new feature within the PayPal app. The new dashboard also allows customers to take quick actions and view reminders.
- Payment Hub: The new Payment Hub includes PayPal’s peer-to-peer payments and giving features.
- New Wallet: The new Wallet experience allows PayPal customers to manage payment instruments in a central place, while also being able to review recent payment and account activity.
Introducing Two-Way Messaging in the PayPal App
The new PayPal app also introduces a new, private two-way messaging feature which will enable two users to communicate when they conduct a peer-to-peer money transfer, whether to acknowledge receipt, send a note of thanks, confirm details of the transaction or more, directly within the app experience.
Two-way messaging for transactions enhances the peer-to-peer send and receive money functionality in the PayPal app, offering a new way for two PayPal customers to connect when sending money for Friends and Family as well as Goods and Services transactions. Two-way messaging is rolling out to customers internationally in the coming weeks.
New Ways to Give: Expanding the PayPal Generosity Network
In the coming months, availability of the PayPal Generosity Network will expand to select markets outside of the U.S., starting with the U.K. and Germany, with more markets to follow. The Generosity Network provides PayPal customers with a way to directly connect with millions of people who can help them raise money on behalf of a cause close to their heart, within the new PayPal app.
