PayPal continues partnership with Australia’s largest consumer fashion event – The PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival

Australia’s largest consumer fashion event, the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival, has revealed its exciting 2023 program, marking the second year of PayPal’s naming rights partnership, with more than 100 unique events across 60 Melbourne venues.

The Festival will run from 3 – 11 March, with tickets on sale now.

This year’s Festival will feature a nine-day program of signature world-class runways with Australia’s favourite designers, as well as shopping events and experiences, styling and beauty workshops, industry seminars, networking events, exhibitions, inclusive social hubs, and live entertainment.

The program will culminate with the PayPal Pay in 4 Closing Runway, ‘Fashion Illuminated’ on Saturday 11 March, bringing to life a fusion of streetwear and ready-to-wear styles to reflect the diversity, inclusivity and energy of the Australian fashion landscape, the lineup will feature Nagnata, Ngali, JAM, Not a Man’s Dream, Strateas Carlucci, Jordan Gogos and Paul McCann.

Other highlights of this year’s program include a reinvented Fashion Forecourt, the Festival epicentre that will welcome consumers to experience pre and post runway hospitality, entertainment and brand activations. In 2023 the Festival reimagines and broadens its Corporate Hospitality offering, working with iconic restaurants Cutler & Co, Cumulus, Gimlet, Marion, Chancery Lane, Matilda 159, Longrain and Supernormal to create experiences in celebration of Melbourne’s exceptional talent across fashion and food.

A reinvented Fashion Culture Program (3 -11 March) will see emerging and independent creatives provided the opportunity to present their work via runways, live talks, exhibitions, performances and workshops. With more than 90 events across 60 venues.

The Fashion Film Awards, hosted at the Capitol Theatre (5 March), celebrate the art of fashion and cinematic excellence via the medium of short film. A public screening will bring together fashion storytellers and audiences alike to appreciate the remarkable work of Australian and International filmmakers.

Fashion Weekend, presented by the City of Melbourne (3-5 March), will return with the Festival launch, with exclusive retail offers, interactive brand experiences and a live stage with programmed entertainment across all three days.

The International Women’s Day Breakfast, supported by Country Road (8 March) will feature a panel of digital, innovation and technology industry experts who will discuss this year’s theme, Cracking the Code: Innovation for a Gender Equal Future. As leaders across several fields, the panelists will celebrate the achievements of women while offering insights into how technology and innovation can be tools to create a gender equal future.

Fashion on High, presented by City of Stonnington, showcases the latest fashion from iconic High Street, Armadale, the shopping destination of choice for glamorous Melburnians. With live lunchtime runways staged at the gorgeous, historic Malvern Town Hall, expect the perfect luxurious day out. Guests can enjoy the rich retail and dining offerings from this haven for lifestyle lovers, pre or post runway.

The Festival program features more than 100 unique events, including over 30 free events, many with multiple showings. Tickets to the Premium Runway Series are priced between $49 and $149.
